Every year volunteer coaches spend hundreds of hours getting more kids on bike. We don’t think they should have to spend money as well. Which is why we help pay defray the costs associated with being a volunteer coach in competitive cycling leagues.

In order to participate in a NICA-sponsored league like Utah MTB, all adults most go through background checks and training. Coaches are also required to be certified in first aid and CPR, and attend leaders summit and On-the Bike skills clinics. These are some of the costs coaches incur before the season even starts. Add to that all the travel required throughout the season and the various incidental costs that can come up and being a coach can take a lot of time as well as money.

Coaches are crucial to getting and keeping kids on bikes. We support their efforts by providing teams with subsidies to pay for a variety of expenses associated with coaching.
